The Regional Protection and Migration Program seeks to assist people in mobility situations and their host communities in Latin America and the Caribbean. It provides direct assistance through NGOs and United Nations humanitarian agencies, thus complementing the state response. Within this framework, Swisscontact, implementing outcomes 3 and 4, is responsible for collecting, documenting, and disseminating good practices to ensure that all parties involved benefit from successful experiences in protecting people in mobility and victims of violence.

Knowing how to act better

Swisscontact collects and shares best practices to improve direct assistance actions for people in mobility and receiving communities in Latin America and the Caribbean. These initiatives are carried out within the Regional Protection and Migration Program framework, sponsored by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC). This approach allows for the use of lessons learned from successful experiences, thus strengthening actions aimed at providing adequate protection and promoting sustainable development in the region.
