Terms of Use for the Regional Protection and Migration Program (RPMP) Knowledge Management Platform 

1. Acceptance of Terms 

By accessing and using the RPMP Knowledge Management Platform ("Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use, as well as our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use the Platform. Swisscontact reserves the right to update these Terms of Use at any time without prior notice. 

2. Platform Purpose 

The Platform is intended to provide registered users with access to resources, tools, and collaboration features related to migration and protection topics within the framework of the RPMP. The Platform is for informational and collaborative purposes only. 

 3. User Registration and Account Security 

To access certain features of the Platform, users must complete a registration process and create a personal account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information and for all activities that occur under your account. Swisscontact reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account if we suspect unauthorized access or misuse of the Platform. 

4. Acceptable Use 

As a user of the Platform, you agree to: 

  • Use the Platform solely for purposes related to the goals of the RPMP. 
  • Not upload, post, or share content that is illegal, defamatory, abusive, threatening, obscene, or otherwise objectionable. 
  • Not attempt to interfere with the proper functioning of the Platform, including attempting to hack, spam, or flood the Platform with automated messages. 
  • Respect the intellectual property rights of others and not distribute or share content without permission. 

5. Content Ownership and Usage Rights 

All content available on the Platform, including documents, images, and multimedia, is the property of Swisscontact or its partners and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Users may download, view, and print content for personal, non-commercial use only. Any other use, reproduction, or distribution of content is strictly prohibited unless expressly authorized by Swisscontact. 

6. User-Generated Content 

Any content you upload or share on the Platform, such as comments, documents, or other contributions, remains your property. However, by sharing this content on the Platform, you grant Swisscontact a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute your content within the Platform for purposes consistent with the RPMP. 

7. Privacy and Data Protection 

Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which outlines how we collect, store, and process personal information. By using the Platform, you consent to the collection and processing of your personal data as described in the Privacy Policy. 

8. Cookies and Tracking 

The Platform uses cookies to enhance the user experience and enable essential features. By using the Platform, you consent to our use of cookies as described in the Privacy Policy. Users can adjust their browser settings to disable cookies, though this may affect the functionality of the Platform. 

9. Third-Party Links 

The Platform may include links to external websites or resources. Swisscontact is not responsible for the content or practices of these external sites and does not endorse them. Use of third-party websites is at your own risk. 

10. Limitation of Liability 

Swisscontact will strive to ensure that the Platform functions properly and that information is accurate. However, we make no guarantees regarding the accuracy, completeness, or availability of Platform content. Swisscontact shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform, including, but not limited to, loss of data, loss of profits, or interruption of service. 

11. Termination of Access 

Swisscontact reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time and without notice if you violate these Terms of Use or engage in behavior that we deem harmful to the Platform or its users. 

12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction 

These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of Switzerland. Any disputes arising from your use of the Platform shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Zurich, Switzerland.
